Home Instead Senior Care, Rockland County's trusted source of companionship and non-medical home care for seniors, is seeking a human resources specialist to recruit, hire, train and retain the best CAREGivers in the industry to work one-on-one with seniors in their homes. 

This position requires a Multi-tasker extraordinaire!  Duties include extensive phone calls, record-keeping and system management. You will work in close collaboration with our Client Care Coordinator and Service Manager to ensure that client schedules are completely filled with CAREGivers who are the right fit.  You are empathetic and a great listener, a problem solver and endlessly patient.  You will essentially be the point-person for our CGs, from the moment they apply for a job, through training, client placement and performance reviews.

This is full-time, M-F, with participation in our evening and weekend on-call rotation.


Job Requirements include, but are not limited to:
  • training/teaching experience a must!
  • HR experience
  • experience with or knowledge of the aging process
  • listen effectively and offer solutions 
  • comfort working with technology and ability to quickly learn multiple cloud-based programs
  • recruit on ongoing pipeline of CAREGivers to support client needs
  • schedule & conduct interviews w/prospective CAREGivers
  • conduct character reference checks and background screens
  • conduct CAREGiver training programs
  • schedule and conduct CAREGiver reviews including performance conversations, accountabilities and problem resolution
  • log detailed notes in our client/CAREGiver database
  • create quarterly newsletters
  • you are friendly,warm and excited about helping seniors and their families
  • you take personal responsibility for achieving desired outcomes, demonstrate initiative and self-motivation
