Robotics Technician - Full-time / Part-time

PrideStaff is seeking a robotics technician for a temporary to hire opportunity compensating $17-19 per hour. This candidate is responsible for assembling, modifying or configuring automation equipment from design drawings or standard assembly instructions to customer specifications.

Job Requirements:

• Reports to Engineering and Production Supervisor
• Detail oriented person working with minimal mistakes due to the nature of the product
• Communicates clearly and professionally
• Ability to interpret mechanical engineered drawings
• Ability to interpret electrical engineered drawings/schematics
• Ability to be flexible in job requirements
• Willingness to learn and develop skills
• Ability to operate hand and power tools
• Ability to solder electrical connections
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more on regular basis
  

Job Duties:

• Develop and apply good routing practices to prevent hardware damage in production environment (wiring, pneumatic tubing, etc.)
• Understand equipment function and perform bench tests
• Prepare equipment for shipping
• Modify/Configure standard automation equipment
• Modify pneumatic circuits for servo robots per customer specifications and supplied drawings
• Modify servo robot wrist options per customer specifications and supplied drawings
• Modify servo robot controller software per customer specifications
• Modify servo robot take-out direction per customer specifications
• Modify/configure pneumatic robots per customer specifications
• Rigging robots on stands for testing
• Prepare equipment for shipping
• 'Support the equipment proving efforts by supporting the set up/alignment of the equipment
• Support the equipment proving efforts by generating test programs/sequences to verify the function
• Support the sales department by preparing show equipment, demo equipment, loaner equipment, etc. for shipment
• Support the continual improvement efforts by providing feedback on designs and/or drawings when necessary
• Required to communicate and interact professionally with colleagues
• Required to maintain communication of project progress to Engineering Manager and/or Project Engineers
• Required to maintain intended ship dates
• Required to make decisions on hardware choice, tubing routing, wire routing and other miscellaneous items
• Required to continuously improve knowledge of product offering
• Required to maintain stock levels of consumable items like fittings and screws
• Follow company assembly standards
• Read drawings and assemble equipment per engineer's design intentions
