Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Regulatory compliance with all applicable Environmental regulations and standards including: Clean Air Act, Clean Water act, RCRA, CERCLA, etc.
- Regulatory compliance with all applicable Health & Safety regulations and standards, including: Hazard Communication, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, Machine Guarding, Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection, Electrical Safety, etc.
- Departmental business planning and implementation.
- Recruiting and exit interviews as needed for safety sensitive positions.
- Permit compliance and management (Air, Wastewater, Hazardous Waste, etc.).
- Maintain, update and train applicable associates to the SPCC and SWP3 Plans.
- Advises management personnel in policy and program matters to maintain consistency. Making or recommending appropriate decisions as applicable to policy and the law.
- Waste management and disposal.
- Lead and maintain a certified ISO 14001 compliant Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Maintain and update critical programs and documents as required by Federal, State and Local requirements, including EMS required documentation.
- Compliance and conformance auditing.
- Industrial Hygiene monitoring.
- Ergonomics program management.
- Facilitator/management of associate EHS Safety Team, Management EHS monthly review meetings.
- Site security.
- Maintain Contractor Safety Program.
- Worker's Compensation administration.
- Coordinate and assist with special events and projects.
- Reports:
- Monthly EHS/EMS meeting reports.
- Monthly reports to HR Manager to support Business Plan Review.
- Budget preparation.
- Business Plan Reports.
- Reports and presentations as requested by Administrative Senior Manager.
- Other tasks as required by Administrative Senior Manager VP.

- Must have a basic understanding of environmental management and proper disposal of wastes.
- Must have a good understanding of handling glycol and waste oil as well as a good understanding of storm water pollution prevention and spill prevention and countermeasure control.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in an applicable course of study, three to five years of manufacturing experience (preferably in automotive manufacturing) and a working knowledge of all related EHS regulatory requirements and standards.
