Business Unit's / Department Mission

Provide technical support and leadership in maintaining HEB's IT COE Enterprise Applications and System Management Tools

Essential Functions / Process Responsibilities include the following;

Provides the same essential functions as a Technical Specialist. Additionally, provides technical leadership and mentoring for team members and offshore partners along with providing technology strategy for supported application solutions

  • Communicate with end users, gather requirements, code/configure, maintain, test, and debug configurations for new and existing applications of basic to medium complexity systems
  • Working knowledge of SNMP protocol, MIB rules and OID hierarchy
  • Familiar with COE application tools and monitoring systems along with system management and ITIL concepts
  • Serve as technical lead on projects and drive work for enhancements and initiatives
  • Lead software deployment effort (configuration/ maintenance/installation, testing, debugging), managing timelines, and technical documentation.
  • Communicates application status, issues and concerns to leadership. Works with vendors to escalate problems and resolve issues
  • Troubleshoot basic to medium complexity application configurations and integrations
  • Resolves installation issues encountered in the development or production environments working with software vendors as needed
  • Able to create and/or contribute to the system architecture and/or application design.
  • Knowledge of multiple development platforms (client/server, browser, mobile, package, etc.) and the unique constraints of each in order to meet their non-functional requirements - portability, scalability, throughput, usability, etc.
  • Provide guidance and training to less experienced Partners.
  • Uses and contributes to the refinement of CoE-related tools, standards and training.
  • Develop integration scripts between various System Management tools using perl, python, powershell, .bat and JavaScript.
  • Understanding of databases and ability to write sql queries. Ability to work with several database platforms such as Oracle, MySQL and MS SQLServer
  • Proficient with following Systems Management tools: New Relic, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Lync, AirWatch and Splunk

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION PREFERRED

  • Software Development experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent experience.
  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • Superior verbal, listening, and written
  • Proficient in PowerShell
  • Linux and Windows Server experience
  • AirWatch experience required
  • Experience as an Exchange 2010 Administrator
  • Experience as an Lync 2010 Administrator
  • Office 365 knowledge
  • Exchange Online
  • Lync Online
