The Lead Maintenance and Landscaper is responsible for working alongside and managing a small team, and will be responsible for performing more complex/skilled maintenance and landscaping functions including all entry level landscaping tasks, landscape project planning and execution, ornamental bush and flower dead heading, tree pruning, soil maintenance, and general labor. Maintenance includes painting, staining, wood repairs, and other tasks as needed. This position is very hands on and requires a strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and in a team, and the ability to identify, perform, execute tasks, and train team members, in the field, with minimum supervision. This position requires an individual who exudes a high energy level, high organizational skills, and leading via exemplary performance.

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Planning of, Organization of, and Oversight of all CAM Team Landscaping Projects with Management Team
  • Supervise field staff including, but not limited to delegating tasks, coordinating projects, and overseeing completion of daily duties
  • Identify areas of the property that require maintenance
  • Identify if maintenance can be completed by CAM Team
  • Daily opening and maintenance of pool building and Association facilities
  • Daily patrols of 6.5 miles of Community’s private roadways
  • Removal of road debris, slash, and landscaping
  • Maintain flower beds, baskets, and containers - planting, watering, weeding, dead heading, tree trimming, etc.
  • Tool inventory and Preparation of ordering of needed materials and supplies
  • Maintain tools, materials, and supplies on a daily basis
  • Maintain strong communication with Management Team and Board members.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous landscaping and gardening experience - required
  • 6 months – 1+ years of lead/supervisory experience – required
  • Landscaping Project Oversight experience – preferred
  • Previous Maintenance and Painting experience – required
  • Ability to navigate logistical challenges - required
  • Ability to work with various landscaping equipment - required
  • Ability to work outside in variable weather conditions - required
  • Ability to stand or move for long periods of time (up to 8 hours) - required
  • Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record - required 
  • Must be able to consistently lift 50 - 75 lbs - required
  • Bi-Lingual – preferred
