Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking Project Control Coordinator for a contract opportunity in Richmond, VA with our partner, an engineering and plant construction company for clients in the metals industry.


As a Project Control Coordinator, you will:
  • Assist in developing project tasks, deliverables, dependencies and resource requirements.
  • Create, maintain and organize necessary documentation and records; responsible for the quality of project deliverables and documentation.
  • Assist internal Manager with project team budget oversight, including resources and costs collaborating with Finance, SCM and other cross-functional departments.
  • Identify, document and communicate project risks and contingency plans.
  • Track and communicate project status, plans, issues, timelines, action items, and budgets.
  • Communicate, document, and archive project team activities and decisions; act as a primary contact for project team related information.
  • Facilitate project team meetings, cross-functional communication and decision making, ensuring alignment with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the Project Management procedures, related SOPs, and supporting materials.
  • Collaborate with other functional or cross-functional groups to ensure that project goals are met.
  • Manage the tracking and reporting of projects between milestones.
  • Guide the identification and resolution of key project issues through project management skills.
  • Customer facing documentation creation and modification
  • Create updates to technical data such as installation and operation manuals, onelines, etc. as necessary.

Minimum Qualifiactions:
  • B.S. in Engineering (or similar)
  • 4+ industry experience including 2 years of Project Management experience.
  • 1+ years of industry drafting experience in AutoCAD
  • Technical writing experience a plus
  • Previous experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience in Research & Development or New Product Development work a plus.
  • Strong understanding of product development challenges and methods for resolution. Ability to resolve most day-to-day issues and develop mitigation plans.
  • Solid skills using MS Office suite.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus.
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work as a team player and team builder.
  • Excellent communication skills for group presentations and intercompany written and verbal communications.

Physical Requirements:
  • May be required to talk, hear, sit and use hands and fingers to handle or feel, and to manipulate keys on a keyboard.
  • May occasionally be required to stand, walk, or reach with arms and hands.

Additional Information:
  • This is a 3 month contract
  • 40 Hours per week
