Job Summary
Technical processing of multiple biological products with direct responsibility for the development, production, storage and release of these products.
- Aseptic technique experience
- handling (slicing, harvesting) or manufacturing of biological products - tissues or cells
- Experience testing biological material (using flow cytometry, western blot, cell culturing, cell counting)
Responsibilities and Duties
- Frequent experimentation with human cells, organs and tissues
- Experience with the operation of laboratory processing equipment (i.e. Biological Safety Cabinets, clean rooms, centrifuges, cryogenic storage freezers, etc ). Ability to perform daily maintenance of instruments and equipment.
- Completion and review of laboratory notebooks, product batch records and the entry of processing data into production database.
- Participate in non-conformance investigations and CAPA determination with the focus on determining root cause
- Assemble, document and transfer processing kits to all laboratories. Maintain production kit supply levels.
Qualifications and Skills
- Aseptic technique experience
- Handling biological products - cells, tissues or plants
- Experience testing biological material (using flow cytometry, western blot, cell culturing, cell counting)
- B.S degree in Biology, Biomedical or related discipline is required
