Job Description:

Our Diagnostic Imaging Components and Vacuum Technology (CV) team drives critical support for healthcare equipment manufacturers in their goal to raise the clinical excellence, operational efficiency and financial profitability of healthcare providers. Our global presence and technology expertise in product development and production makes us the partner of choice for Siemens Healthineers imaging and in-vitro diagnostics businesses and external companies. Position Overview

Our CV organization is currently looking for an experienced Customer Project Manager for our Flanders, NJ facility.

The Customer Project Manager will play a critical role in supporting internal Siemens Healthcare Research & Development customers for Medical Electronics. Primary responsibilities in this role will be customer development, project acquisition and functional leadership.

The ideal candidate has a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years of directly relevant project management experience, preferably in a healthcare field. Knowledge of German would be a plus. 8 weeks of training will be provided to our new hires.

Responsibilities

* Effectively support internal Siemens Healthcare Research & Development (R&D) customers for Medical Electronics by consulting and selling our project management expertise to those customers.

* Responsible for the offer preparation process for R & D development projects, as well as budget negotiations, escalation management, reporting, forecasting and financial planning for those projects.

* Serve as the primary customer interface for all R&D topics related to Medical Electronics.

* Provide in-depth analysis and strategic alignment to the exploitation of customer potential - this includes identification and acquisition of development projects in the field of electronics development (hardware and software) in cooperation with internal customers.

* Working with our system architects, create hardware / software concepts that include key performance indicators such as target costs, development costs, and schedules.

* In cooperation with internal customers, create the requirement engineering for development projects - this includes a precise definition of the scope of work, as well as the risk assessment in the field of electronics development in the medical environment (IEC 60601-1, etc).

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

* Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

* At least 6 years of progressively responsible project management experience in electronic development from conception to series introduction (Requirement Engineering, Implementation, Test Engineering, EMC, etc)

* At least 3 years of experience in the development of electrical components. This includes extensive knowledge in the design of electronic systems and their disassembly into hardware / software.

* Experience in medical technology and regulations (IEC 60601-1,62304 etc) preferred

* Knowledge of German preferred, but not required

* Highly-motivated team player with strong customer orientation and problem resolution skills

* Strong sales orientation with excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to present to all types of customers
