GENERAL MANAGER – BARTMANN GROUP (Uptown Minneapolis)

compensation: Based upon experience

The Bartmann Group is looking for an experienced General Manager to join our team!

The General Manager will be part of the team responsible for managing and directing daily operations, and most importantly, upholding our standards of excellence, hospitality, and sustainability. Ideal candidates will have previous management experience in a high volume, casual or fine dining restaurant. We are looking for folks with a passion for and experience with exceptional food, craft beer and cocktails, as well as a demonstrated ability to control labor costs and meet COGS goals. Basic Excel skills and Microsoft Word knowledge required. Experience with Aloha POS systems and Mac computers are a plus! Key Elements, Tasks and Responsibilities of the Job:

- Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of The Bartmann Group

- Ensure that all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs and followed and completed on a timely basis

- Ensure that we are providing excellent service to every customer, every time

- See to it that food and beverage quality is always up to snuff

- Control product and labor costs in order to meet established goals

- Write effective schedules for all FOH positions based upon business needs

- Help recruit, hire, interview, train, and coach staff

- Ensure the working and dining environment for our staff and customers is always safe

- Be very hands-on on the floor by running food, bussing tables, and managing wait lists

- Daily bookkeeping, payroll and other administrative tasks

- Planning and executing special events

- Programming and maintenance of the Aloha POS system

- Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment

- Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations

- Monitor budgets and payroll records, and review financial transactions to ensure that expenditures are authorized and budgeted

This position is salaried full-time (45+ hours per week). Must be able to work, mostly on your feet, 8-10 hours per day, and lift and carry up to 40 lbs
