Job Description

TCR: Triangle Cellular Repair is the premier mobile device repair center in central North Carolina. We are locally owned and operated with a commitment to superior customer service and growth. TCR offers more than just cell phone repair services and is looking for a Store Manager excited to drive success in its location located on 9th Street in Durham, NC.

Our managers specialize in salesmanship, business administration, team management, and communication. We are seeking an individual who is driven to increase sales, lead and empower staff members, effectively communicate new programs and assist in their implementation, keep a positive morale, and be able to manage the day-to-day business of a retail establishment. 

 

The ideal candidate for the 9th Street location will:

  • Be familiar with and understand the demographic of the Downtown Durham area, particularly 9th Street.
  • Have the ability to effectively build our brand in the Downtown Durham area. 
  • Be enthusiastic about building relationships in the community.
  • Be outgoing and enjoy meeting new people. 
  • Have some team leadership/store management experience
  • Proven ability to perform the essential job functions

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Business Administration

  • Positive trending P&L: lowers expenses, sales and growth for location, reviews margins and inventory to ensure accurate reporting, understands how each part of the business affects overall profit
  • Inventory management: reviews daily transactions to ensure ticketing/inventory accuracy, monitors returns and exchanges to make sure they are processed correctly, makes sure all location locks are working and secured every night
  • Cash handling: ensures that transactions are processed correctly through POS, CC machine etc.
  • Understands and is prepared and available during business hours for his/her location or other emergency needs
  • Understands how to manage change successfully and execute this well with team
  • Takes initiative to gain thorough understanding of market competition and how to address

Team Leadership

  • Content, empowered team capable of day to day business operations without supervision
  • Training: is responsible for and ensures that all staff members are trained and prepared for repairs, procedures (software, social media etc.), and customer service (sales, initial conflict management)
  • Morale: provides employees with daily feedback regarding their performance, sets performance plans to increase productivity if it starts trending below goal, follows through and maintains goal development
  • Team consistently acts in the best interests of the company with regard to ethics and integrity
  • Keeps store in an exCELLent condition by using TCR’s ‘PURE’ customer service technique; meaning doing the right thing for the customer at all times and fitting them with the proper phone, repair, or accessory
  • Manages the recruitment of own team according to expectations

Salesmanship

  • Focuses on driving sales to store through in-person marketing, events, building relationships, online marketing as well as developing new ways to drive sales
  • Ensures team is trained for successful sales, develops goals, is excited
  • Creates an appealing, attractive, clean, and well-organized location for customers to shop in
  • Promotes a positive business environment that makes customers comfortable
  • Responsible for maintaining a positive online review rating (on sites such as Yelp, Google, Facebook etc.)
  • Assists employees in organizing the Customer Call Back Program

Repairs

  • After training, understands repair methodology and can execute basic level of device repairs
  • Continues development and training of team after their completion of TCR’s repair training program
  • Completes device repairs as necessary

Communication

  • Engages in prompt, professional, and complete communication with customers
  • Manages all forms of internal communication
  • Pays attention to details and follow directions
