Job Description

We are seeking a Hardware Store Associate to become a part of our team! You will be responsible for selling products, merchandising, customer services, and taking on any responsibilities needed in order to complete store objectives. We are looking for a well-rounded individual that has good computer skills and wants to learn and grow with the company. They need to be willing to jump in and help do any job or task that is needed in order to keep up store appearances, meet a customer's need, help meet store objectives, or just because it should be happening. 

Responsibilities:

  • CUSTOMER SERVICE- SALES, QUOTING, CREATIVE THINKING TO MEET CUSTOMER NEEDS BY ANY MEANS THAT IS PROFITABLE
  • HELPING WITH PERFORMING DAILY FUNCTIONS- CLEANING, ORGANIZING, STOCKING, ANYTHING THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE
  • CASHIERING, RECEIVING AND CHECKING IN ORDERS, PHONES, ANY AREA OF THE STORE THAT NEEDS HELP
  • STAYING BUSY AND PRODUCTIVE THROUGHOUT THE DAY
  • CROSS TRAINING WITH CURRENT EMPLOYEES TO LEARN ANY AND ALL AREAS OF THE STORE
  • CROSS TRAINING WITH FUTURE HIRES TO HELP THEM LEARN ANY AND ALL AREAS OF THE STORE
  • ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND BEING ABLE TO MAINTAIN AN ORGANIZED METHOD OF KEEPING TRACK OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES ASSIGNED BY OWNER/MANAGER OR GENERATED BY CUSTOMER NEEDS
  • BEING ABLE TO COMMUNICATE WELL WITH FULMER HARDWARE PERSONNEL AND CUSTOMERS
  • WILLING TO TAKE ON AND/OR LEARN ANYTHING THAT IS NEEDED IN ORDER TO SUPPORT THE STORE AND IT'S NEEDS
  • FOLLOW THROUGH WITH CUSTOMERS, ANYTHING ASSIGNED TO YOU, OR THAT YOU HAVE SAID YOU WILL TAKE ON

Qualifications:

  • PREVIOUS JOB EXPERIENCE IN ANY OR MULTIPLE AREAS MENTIONED ABOVE
  • CAPABLE OF WORKING WITHIN A FAST PACED AND REACTIVE ENVIRONMENT
  • ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS THAT HELP WITH YOUR OR OTHER'S JOB PERFORMANCE IN ANY AREA OF THE STORE
  • ABILITY TO BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH CUSTOMERS
  • EXCELLENT WRITTEN AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS
  • PROBLEM MANAGEMENT OR CRITICAL THINKING CAPABILITIES
  • COMPUTER SKILL--EXPERIENCE WITH USING OR MAKING SPREADSHEETS OR REPORTS
  • ANY POINT OF SALE OR RETAIL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM KNOWLEDGE
  • WILLINGNESS TO DO ANYTHING NEEDED
  • DESIRE TO TAKE ON RESPONSIBILITIES NOT ASKED OF THEM
