We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our facilities maintenance department on a full time, hourly basis. This is a new position.

What You’ll be Doing

You’ll be responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

These duties may be performed at any of our Lykins Energy Solutions locations as well as at customers or clients residences or businesses. You’ll be working with our tenured maintenance department as a team Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Due to the nature of our business, at times this position may be required to be “on-call” after normal working hours and or on the weekends.

Your Responsibilities

As our Maintenance Tech, your responsibilities will be to:
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain home heat and commercial tanks.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of tanks and equipment and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment in the bulk plants and office.
  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of tanks.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment and bulk plant facilities.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Perform all safety training as requested from Safety Department as well as attend quarterly safety meetings.

Requirements

In addition to having a High School Diploma or GED, you should have:
  • 3–5 years related experience and/or training
  • CDL
  • Propane Installation Certification
  • Trade school attendance is a plus
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations with customers
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Deal with problems including several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physically, you should be able to
  • Pass a DOT drug test
  • Meet DOT medical standards
  • Talk and hear
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and climb for the entirety of a shift
  • Lift and/or move over 75 pounds
  • See clearly, whether close or at a distance, see colors, use peripheral vision and depth perception and adjust focus.
