Maintenance Team Leader

The Maintenance Team Leader will be responsible for the mechanical & technical requirements within the operation to meet the departmental goals and objectives (KPI’s). This position is reports to the department Supervisor and is responsible for the leadership/development of the maintenance technical personnel for career resilience and departmental success within the vision, mission, and core values established. The Team Leader must have achieved a satisfactory level of technical & professional skill/knowledge of the equipment & resources within the Maintenance Department to perform at a high level of accomplishment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Follows all DairiConcepts GMP’s and works in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
• Maintains safety and well-being of one’s self and peers
• Maintains established equipment and process controls to exceed customer expectations
• Speaks effectively, fosters open communication, listens to others and provides feedback for understanding
• Develops, implements, and maintains the departmental preventative maintenance program
• Maintains and coordinates departmental work order process
• Possess a basic understanding of the plant master sanitation system
• Follows plant procedures and takes part in plant committees that deal with plant maintenance issues and policies
• Develops and adds to maintenance J.S.A.’s when needed
• Assists and prepares “new employee” on the job training programs when needed
• Follows and promotes safety on the job and in the department.
• Assists the supervisor with employee evaluations when requested
• Sets up department education programs when requested
• Assists in department accident investigations
• Establishes departmental predictive maintenance program

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, blue prints, & equipment manuals

• Must have basic computer skills and the ability to update
• Acquire emergency response and ammonia systems knowledge
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units and compute rates, percent, draw, and read graphs
• Must have advanced computer skills
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft applications

Required Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent

Licensing and Certification

• Chief B MN Boiler operator’s license
• Obtain emergency response and ammonia systems knowledge

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Manufacturing environment
• Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid and/or cold conditions
• Occasionally required to lift and or move up to 100 pounds
