Position Description
Responsible for performing the physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary. Pulls and fills orders. May use (but not limited to) power equipment such as a forklift, hand tools, and other devices operated in a warehouse environment. This position is not responsible for operating delivery trucks which require a Commercial Drivers License. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment. Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. May prepare kitting packages for assembly production.
- Oversee all aspects of picking and line return to ensure production lines are staged sufficently and SAP system and inventory transactions are timely and accurate
- Ensure that all finished goods palettes available to be wrapped are completed daily and ready to ship
- Oversee the recycling process to ensure that recycling waste/palettes are processed in a timely manner
- Communicate with the line leads, Production Scheduling and Inventory Management as it relates to your responsibilities to ensure that goals are met and systems are maintained in an accurate and timely manner
- Support, as required, in cycle counting, put-away, bulk breakdown, warehouse housekeeping, scheduling of pick ups, receiving, shipping and area security including end of shift locking up procedures
- Back up Lead Warehouse Specialist as required
- Other duties as assigned
2 years distribution experience
Critical Skills
SAP skills preferred
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Working knowledge of Material Handling issues; Basic reading, writing, addition and subtraction skills
Education
HS Diploma or Equivalent
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 35lbs
