Job Description

The Outside Merchant Sales Representative is an outside sales position for a branch of MeS Partner Bank.
  • Receive client leads from banking partners, however additional opportunities will need to obtain through cold calling efforts.
  • Active communication with Merchant client portfolio to address customer service needs and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Ability to work with Merchant advisors and bank personnel in order to achieve goal of maximizing accounts and minimizing attrition of customers.
  • Merchant Service representatives will be adequately trained to identify and act on potential cross-sale opportunities of Merchant Services related products and services.
  • Keep up to date on any changes in our Federal/ State Laws, Bank Regulations, Compliance Guidelines, and/or information and changes within our organization or the financial industry, which could affect our customers and/or our performance.
  • Work with clients on an account by account basis to resolve particularly complex/sensitive client discrepancies through meetings with clients, investigating the situation, objectively evaluating the facts, and making a sound judgment to resolve the situation in a timely and proactive manner.
  • Manage relationships with product managers, operations, and vendors to resolve client service problems in a timely manner.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of professional sales experience are a plus
  • Experience within the financial services industry and/or electronic/merchant payment processing industry are a plus
  • Experience in a consultative business-to-business environment selling a complex suite of products and solutions.
  • Ability to demonstrate a record of consistent sales goal achievement and top performance.
  • Must have a high degree of integrity, excellent verbal and written communications, presentation and negotiation skills, effective use of time management, as well as, the acumen to plan and achieve aggressive financial goals.
  • Skilled at direct-sourcing and prospecting of new clients.
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with customers, business partners, MeS team members, and peers.
  • Strong computer skills including Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM software.
  • Requires a high amount of local travel to meet with potential clients. Representative will be responsible for their own transportation.
  • Proficient in Salesforce, pipeline development, pricing and statement reading a plus
  • Bi-lingual communication abilities are a plus
