As a member of the maintenance support team, the primary objective for this position is to ensure the conveyor and other equipment remains operational in order to fulfil all orders within the service level criteria.

Perform general maintenance on the conveyor system under the direction of the maintenance supervisor, as well as, preventative maintenance to the conveyor and other mechanical equipment.

What You'll Do Here:
  • Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative and general maintenance on Automation conveyors
  • Provide maintenance on: Compressors, Dryers, and Carton Sealers
  • Change industrial batteries, program variable frequency drives, change motors, reducers, V-belts and bearings
  • Assist Maintenance Technician – in Value Add when necessary
  • Must be able to bend/twist/kneel/crawl without difficulty
  • Forklift and Boomlift qualified
  • Able to safely lift 50 or more pounds
  • Must be able to stand/walk for 8/10 hours
  • Work in a team environment
  • Operate Powered equipment
  • Able to perform responsibilities within a specified time frame to keep conveyor system operational for scheduled production
  • Provide weekly report of activities, projects and completed assignments
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years as a maintenance mechanic with conveyor repair experience.
  • Understanding of basic electrical AC/DC of 480 VAC, 110 VAC, 207 VAC
  • Ability to use Volt Meter and understanding of AC/DC current
  • Understanding of VFD’s
  • Sortation Operation experience
  • Demonstrated computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet
  • Excellent attendance
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends if necessary
  • On-Call status if necessary
  • Strong Safety Skills
Skills You Will Need Here:

Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to complete forms, write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Basic Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
High Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule.
