Supplier Quality Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

A company in the Lorain, OH area is looking for Supplier Quality Engineers to add to their team. This person will be doing the following:

• Will Be traveling up to 75% of the time. Travel will be weeks at a time to different supplier sites in the US conducting audits
• Executes supplier process qualification activities throughout new product, improvement, and change activities.
• Performs on-site supplier quality system assessments and process audits in order to assess compliance to defined requirements.
• Conducts courses on supplier development and quality system tools & techniques such as 8-D problem solving, FMEA, PPAP, APQP, Six Sigma, Lean, etc.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Industrial Engineering or equivalence
• Experience: 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, quality engineering or similar operational/technical role preferably with medical devices.
• 5+ years of experience auditing suppliers
• Traveling up to 75% possible.
