Job Description

A top client of ours in the Boston area is looking for multiple Patient Access Representatives for their new call center. This will be a 3 month temporary-permanent opportunity and candidates must have excellent customer service, reliability and professionalism. Interviews are expected to be the week of 3/12 and 3/19. Limited spots available. This is a great opportunity to get into healthcare and grow within a reputable and growing company. Previous healthcare experience is not required but preferred.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for handling all inbound and outbound calls to/from the Call Center. The majority of calls will involve scheduling patient appointments for the individual physician offices, a key function in supporting outstanding healthcare access for all patients and physicians. The representative will obtain and maintain all pertinent information and documentation to ensure timely and thorough access to appointments and will register patients by collecting demographic and insurance information. The representative will function as part of a multidisciplinary team that supports patients, providers and staff. The representative must strive for first call resolution whenever possible and will field a wide variety of caller requests and questions.

Qualifications: High school diploma is required and a level of knowledge equivalent to Associates degree/bachelor's degree is preferred but not required. One to three years of patient access or customer service experience preferred. Good interpersonal, organizational communication skills; both verbal and written. Ability to prioritize and respond effectively to multiple and/or changing job expectations.
