Position Summary:

Provide administrative support and problem-solving assistance to the SR Director, HR/LR and Operations and to the department. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire division in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR) and our Customer 1st strategy. Provide leadership that embodies our 7 Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles. Essential Job Functions:
  • Maintain professional contact with division/corporate executive staff and division associates
  • Coordinate routine emails, calendar entries, meetings, travel and other assignments
  • Access to confidential and sensitive information; protection of this information is required
  • Demonstrate professionalism, patience, discretion and good judgment in setting priorities, answering correspondences and coordinating various meetings and conference calls
  • Ensure accurate, efficient processing and disposition of written correspondence/oral communication to all levels of the organization
  • Oversee, administer and design (as applicable) the divisional compensation planning process to ensure consistency, compliance and support of the company’s compensation program and strategy
  • Administer the division’s annual stock award grant award process according to the company’s stock award plan
  • Assist in administration, education and compliance of all corporate/division policies, procedures and processes
  • Serve as department Local Security Administrator
  • Serve as department MSS administrator and division back up
  • Serve as department/division KRONOS administrator
  • Prepare/review expense reports, ensuring proper documentation for approval
  • Review/prepare departmental invoices to be paid in a timely manner
  • Assist in managing work load and cross training practices with department administrative support; provide back-up assistance when necessary
  • Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements
  • Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems
  • Accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications/Education:         
  • Experience in coordinating meetings, schedules and projects
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with accuracy
  • Perform with a sense of urgency and commitment to serve customers
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and protect sensitive information
  • Demonstrated confidence to meet independently with associates for issue support/resolution
  • Strong project management experience and skills
  • Self-directed in planning and setting priorities
  • Ability to instill confidence with skill and diplomacy in dealing with a diverse workforce
  • Excellent initiative and efficient follow-up procedures with attention to detail

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills and knowledge of various Kroger systems
