Installation and Maintenance Technician

Aerotek Engineering Services is hiring for a leading security provider in the DMV area!

This company provides security services to both commercial and government facilities.

40% installing security camera and access control systems

40% configuring the systems to make sure they work on the network 10% driving site to site

10% systems maintenance

This Video Service Technician will be installing camera systems and configuring the NVR system on the back end. Mount and Configure IP Camera's, configure POE switches. Prepare racks and power for installation of customer equipment. Provide remote diagnostic and troubleshooting. The candidate will also be interfacing with various customers - both commercial and government. Fast paced technical and hands on environment coupled with being customer service focused.

Shift: 6:30am-3pm or 4pm

Qualifications:

-2-5 years experience as a security technician specifically with video cameras and cameras

-Experience and knowledge of networking principles: IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPN, and cabling

-Experience installing and troubleshooting security systems

-Experience with video cameras, lenses, DVR, NVR, and video management

-Experience installing Ethernet and Fiber Optic networks
