About this job

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Perform Sanitation operations on all process and packaging lines, support equipment, fillers, mixers, etc., within company policies and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to: machines, floors, walls, drains, screens, filters, processing tanks, vats, overhead pipes, conveyors and other areas.
Maintain sanitary conditions in the production area, supply, label storage, warehouse, and each work site in compliance with Bowman Andros Quality and Safety Standards, Regulatory guidelines, and customer expectations.
Follow and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOP's).
Operate industrial power trucks to transport materials within the plant.
Activate, adjust and stop pumps to force cleaning solutions through production machinery, piping, or vats, or to lubricate machines.
Groundskeeping, including but not limited to: Waste and refuse removal from plant grounds; grass-cutting, snow-shoveling and minor landscaping as needed.
Assist in daily, weekly, monthly and yearly Sanitation duties.
Responsible for accurate completion of records.
Maintain a positive relationship between all departments and staff.
Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe facility.
Safely operate all sanitation equipment, to include brushes, air hoses, steam cleaners, water hoses, floor driers, and all CIP equipment as required.
Regular and reliable attendance required.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Experience in a food manufacturing sanitation role strongly preferred; Successful candidates will be able to well in a team setting; Evening, overnight and weekend work is required; Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required and used daily; Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; Must be able to follow all safety procedures; Must be able to work with all the equipment used in the sanitation process; Must be able to work with extremely hot water and a variety of chemicals.
