Requirements

Must be over 21

Must have a valid MA driver's license

Must have valid car insurance

Must have a High School Diploma

Must be Bondable and Insurable

Must be able to work on-call rotation one night per week and one weekend per month

Home Instead Senior Care® is looking for an experienced receptionist to join us in our mission to enhance the lives of aging adults and their families. The receptionist must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to work well in a team setting. The receptionist is responsible for performing a variety of duties that support both the office administrative staff and caregiving staff in order to provide the highest quality service to our clients.

You must possess the following competencies:

Must be reliable and timely. Attendance and punctuality is a must.

Must present a professional appearance and demeanor and perform duties in a professional office setting.

Must be able to prioritize and be detail orientated in order to efficiently organize, plan and multitask daily and monthly work.

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Be friendly, polite, upbeat and welcoming with all staff, employees and clients. Be able to speak clearly, listen effectively and be patient and congenial both on the telephone and in person. Must also have legible handwriting.

Must be able to follow instruction and take direction.

Must be able to operate basic office equipment (copier, fax & multi-line phone system).

Must have computer and keyboard skills. Be proficient in Microsoft and relevant software applications, internet and e-mail.

Must be a team player and eager to assist management, colleagues, caregivers and clients.

Must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines.

Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making.

Job Responsibilities

Answer and transfer multi-line phone system. Screen and direct calls to the correct staff member. Take and relay messages. Make phone calls. Provide information to callers.

Welcome visitors and direct persons to correct destination

Email, Fax, Copy as requested and needed

Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries by stuffing, sealing, stamping, addressing and mailing

Assist in the preparation of billing and payroll

Control inventory relevant to reception area and all departments as requested

Regular light office cleaning as needed including: take out trash, vacuum, keep kitchen clean, tidy and maintain the reception area, water plants

Run errands as requested

Maintain staff appointment diary electronically

Collect all log pages necessary for compliance with billing within 2 days following billing date

Prepare Birthday, Get Well, Sympathy cards for clients and caregivers

File for all departments as needed

Make weekend shift reminder calls

Perform any and all other functions deemed necessary
