Cashier / Counter Person Mamoun's Falafel -

We are currently looking for an experienced FOH cashier/counter person that is hospitality-oriented, possesses excellent communication skills, has a high attention to detail and excels in a fast paced environment with day and evening availability.

Mamoun's is a family owned and operated quick casual restaurant that was established in 1971. We serve Middle-Eastern cuisine made from scratch using family recipes. Mamoun's goal is to serve exceptional food enhanced by a level of service and hospitality normally not associated with quick casual dining.

Requirements:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

  • The ability to speak, see, hear, read, and write
  • Mobility and manual dexterity
  • Ability to lift at least 30 pounds on a semi-regular basis and perform other diverse physical tasks as needed
  • The ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal direction
  • The ability to bend, stoop, stand and perform extensive walking up to 8-10 hours a day
  • Exposure to wet floors, noise, and temperature extremes

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing exceptional service to guests
  • Thorough knowledge of menu items
  • Thorough knowledge and proficiency of POS system in use.
  • Responsible for job duties as outlined
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation
  • Adherence to company, state, and county service and sanitation standards
  • Strict adherence to posted schedule and clock in/out at times
  • Attendance to company meetings and training seminars as required
  • Adherence to company uniform and grooming policies

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greeting guests and taking food and beverage orders
  • Maintains friendly, helpful, positive attitude.
  • Politely handles phone orders
  • Placing guest orders into the POS system and ensuring accuracy of all orders taken
  • Responsible for properly charging the guest and collecting payment for orders.
  • Accountable for charging the correct amount for food and beverages
  • Responsible for cash handling procedures
  • Responsible for communicating effectively with managers, expeditor, and kitchen staff
  • Assists expediter and floater with assembling dine-in orders
  • Assists with the packaging of all take-out orders, including beverages and utensils
  • Assists with the delivery of food and beverage to guests
  • Assists other staff in their tasks when necessary
  • Monitors dining room: buses and wipes tables as needed, re-set chairs, retrieve trays / baskets
  • Monitors and services restrooms as needed
  • Maintains pastry display, beverage refrigerator, juice dispensers, and restocks accordingly
  • Cleans and stocks station as assigned throughout shift
  • Maintains a clean and organized work space and service counter
  • Responsible for all side work and cleaning duties
  • Responsible for completing tasks on opening and closing checklists
  • Carries out all other duties as assigned by management
  • Cleans equipment, as assigned, thoroughly and in a timely fashion
  • Maintains a neat, clean, and friendly appearance; follows Mamouns uniform and dress code requirements
  • Completes shift work, as assigned, timely and thoroughly in accordance with standards
