General Manager Agricultural Equipment Company

Job Description

The ideal candidate will:

•  Manage and direct the day to day operations of the company

• Oversee sales of equipment and services

• Ensure high customer satisfaction and build rapport with regional customer base

• Have a thorough knowledge of inventory and assure that parts and services are available to customers on a consistent basis

• Set goals and objectives for the company’s sales and services sectors and strive to achieve those goals

• Manage support staff

• Travel within the sales region as required to develop and maintain customer relations

• Ability to work long hours especially during the height of farming/harvest seasons

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate’s background and experience will include:

• Understanding of and general mechanical knowledge of agricultural or related industrial equipment

• Past experience as an owner or manager of a successful business establishment

• Proven record of customer interface and ability to grow customer base

• Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree is a plus but not a requirement

• A background and understanding of agricultural business and its challenges
