About the Opportunity
Animal Humane New Mexico has an opportunity for an energetic person to join our Thrift Store as a Retail Supervisor. Our Thrift Store boasts an enjoyable working environment with skilled leadership. Our well-trained team creates a positive experience for customers and staff alike.
Ideal candidates will possess a high school diploma or equivalent and 3 to 5 years of retail sales experience, including at least one year of management/supervisory experience. Thrift store experience is preferred. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively manage store operations independently including organizing, planning, and prioritizing workloads. Applicants must be strong leaders with the ability to coach and mentor others and must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. The position requires proficiency in various software applications including the Microsoft Office Suite, social media and internet research. Knowledge of antiques, collectibles and interior design are helpful. Bilingual in English and Spanish are a plus. Candidates must also possess accurate cash handling skills, register experience, and be physically capable of safely lifting 50 pounds routinely.
