Full Time Retail Sales Store Position

Responsibilities for the Retail Position:

Product knowledge: Take the time and ask questions to learn everything you can about every product we carry. No one feels comfortable buying a product from a sales person that does not know the product. One way we can separate ourselves from the mass merchant is to know our products better than anyone else.

Cleanliness: It is the responsibility of every employee in the store to see that the entire store is kept clean at all times. If you have idle time, you should take it upon yourself to stock shelves and then ensure the floors and shelves are looking good. A clean store is an invitation for a customer to keep coming back.

Inventory control: Keep a close watch on inventory. When an item is getting low, report it.

Customer relations: Treat all our customers with respect at all times both in the store and on the phone. Never lie to a customer. If you don’t have an answer to a question, please tell them you will get back to them with the answer. Always take time and don’t allow them to feel you are trying to rush them.

Proper phone etiquette: Always answer the phone good morning, good afternoon or good evening and then say, my name is …… and thank you for calling Fronheiser Pools, can I help you. At the end before hanging up, thank them for calling. Always try to help a person with their problem. If you can’t help offer an apology and then tell them you will see what you can do and that you will get back to them. Tell them when you intend to follow up.

Proper contact management: When taking a message all employees are expected to collect required contact information in addition to the reason for the call. Full name, phone number(s), preferred email address, as well as home address are considered required contact information. Contact information should be collected and/or confirmed with every customer contact

Proper lead management: Assigned leads are to be monitored and worked daily by all sales personnel and all progress is to be tracked in the CRM system. This includes notes on all customer contact (inbound or outbound) leading up to the close of a sale and the completion of construction, including calls and emails.

Other Duties include:

• Stocking and restocking the retail sales floor
• Performing water testing for pools and hot tubs & handling chemical questions
• Assisting with parts & equipment questions & sales
• Outdoor furniture questions & sales
• Helping with pool and spa questions & sales
• Collecting information and setting up site visits for potential pool customers

Additional Job Component:

Sales:

Applicants will be expected to learn and retain information on in ground vinyl and gunite pools, Jacuzzi and Caldera Spas and various pool equipment. No prior knowledge is required but the applicant will have to prove themselves capable of selling the above listed products after a sufficient period of training has been provided.

Technology:

Position requires an aptitude for various technology. Training will be provided for the Point of Sale system and for the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools. Applicants will be tested for basic ability in the use of Microsoft WORD and Microsoft EXCEL as well as proficiency in the drafting of emails and adding attachments.

These skills can be improved on the job, but some familiarity is expected as maintaining ongoing communications with customers in a professional manner is part of the job.
