Hotel Overview: Situated atop the scenic bluffs overlooking Santa Monica Beach, Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows is just a stone's throw away from some of Southern California's best attractions including Santa Monica Pier and its historic carousel as well as Third Street Promenade -- famous for its fine restaurants, live entertainment, movie theatres, shopping, local artists' scene and a weekly farmer's market.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director, Front Office, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

* Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service

* Ensure guests are aware of all services and activities available at the beach & Hotel

* Confirm Beach Club reservations, detailing all guest requests/special requirements/specific details

* Welcome guests to the Hotel and ensure they have a safe and enjoyable experience at the Beach Club at time of reservations

* Assist with assignment of duties to the beach club attendants

* Oversee the general cleanliness and upkeep of the beach area

* Lead daily activities as required

* Assist with issuing towels, beach set-up, and distributing beach equipment

* Ensure all guests have registered into the beach areas

* Assist in promoting the facility and organizing special events as required

* Follow departmental policies and procedures

* Follow all safety and sanitation policies

* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

* Previous experience in guest relations required

* CPR and First Aid certification preferred

* Lifeguard Certification preferred

* Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

* Highly responsible & reliable

* Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Physical Aspects of Position (includes but are not limited to):

* Frequent walking and standing throughout shift

* Occasional lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs

* Frequent bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling

* Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

Visa Requirements: Must provide proof of eligibility to be employed in the United States of America.
