Forklift Operator-2nd shift - Full-time / Part-time

Purpose of Position (Principle purpose or function of position)

This position will utilize man aboard lifts to pull cartons and loose items for replenishment to the primary pick faces. In addition, this position will utilize the man aboard lifts to perform the put away of cartons in Reserve bulk storage from the Receiving and QC areas.

Duties and Responsibilities (in order of importance)

• Safely operate man aboard equipment to perform put away and pulling of cartons and loose items.
• Accurately and efficiently restock primary picking bins from bulk locations using RF equipment.
• Move received merchandise from staging area to bulk locations using RF equipment.
• Maximize bulk storage space through consolidation
• Perform duties of the Receiving, Replenishing, or Inventory Control departments (including cycle counting when necessary).
• Perform return merchandise put away in the primary and special picking locations.
• Will be expected to work in other areas of the warehouse during downtime in the replenishing and receiving areas.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures as outlined in the company handbook.

Knowledge and Background Requirements (in order of importance)

• Basic keyboard, computer, and RF knowledge.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize.
• Forklift experience a plus, but not required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Environmental Factors

• Standing or walking for up to eight hours a day.
• Frequently lifting up to fifty pounds, occasionally lifting up to seventy pounds.
• Frequently reaching, twisting, and bending in multiple directions.
• Ability to perform work in tight quarter workstations.
• Moderate warehouse noise level.
• Push/pull a picking cart and/or pallet of up to five hundred pounds.
• Continuous arm, hand, and wrist movement (i.e.: folding garments).
• Work in temperatures ranging from 50 – 95 degrees.
