Job Overview:
Responsible for the cleanliness of all common areas in the distribution center. Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
• Cleaning cafeteria including emptying garbage containers.
• Outdoor cleaning, possible snow removal.
• Cleaning office areas, includes vacuuming, dusting, removing garbage.
• Sweeping and buffing floors.
• Cleaning rest rooms, follow appropriate guidelines for Blood borne pathogens.
• Appropriate cleaning and disposal of blood or other potentially infectious material spills.
• Interior work space without windows to the outside, located in close proximity to other associates.
• Environment where noise level is generally moderately high and temperatures fluctuate seasonally. Subject to some extremes in temperature.
• Appropriate attire required; safe sturdy shoes that cover the entire foot, no loose, flowing clothing (that may get caught in conveyors). Other clothing restrictions may apply.
• Any other function management deems essential.
• Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalency.
Communication Skills:
• Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as reports and
procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills:
• Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Reasoning Ability:
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Demands:
• May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Other Skills:
• Sense of urgency, organizational skills.
Work Hours:
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
