Marine Electricians, Sheet Metal Mechanics, Laborers. Everett, WA - skilled trades / artisan - job employmentMaintenance on Naval Vessels in Everett, Washington is kicking off and Aerotek is seeking qualified candidates for the following skill sets to assist -
Marine Electricians - Install, connect, and perform operational testing of shipboard electrical systems and components which include electrical power and lighting systems, sound powered phones, electric heat and ventilation equipment.
- must be able to read and interpret shipboard blueprints
Sheet Metal Mechanics (Hull Tech) - Design, manufacture, install and repair ventilation, furniture, lightweight bulkheads and doors aboard naval vessels.
Marine Welders - Join various metals using complex thermal processes in the overhaul, repair, and construction of naval vessels.
- Experience working with structural steel (Dual Shield and Stick)
General Labor/Firewatchers - Assist tradesmen as needed per specific on ship maintenance - demolition, cable pulling, clean up, manual labor, firewatch, etc.
- Former Military personnel are strongly encouraged to apply
Requirements: (Seeking Local Candidates)
- Willingness to submit to drug and background screening
- Posses valid U.S. birth certificate OR passport (Original or Notarized copy)
- Previous Marine experience or equivalent military background
- Posses or Willingness to obtain: OSHA 10 Maritime, Firewatch, Respirator Fit Certifications.
Additional Information:
40-60 hours per week
Must wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, respirator, steel toed boots)
Candidates will be put through OSHA certification courses if they don not already posses
