Shipper & Receiver III - Full-time

Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Shipper & Receiver III for a contract opportunity in San Jose, CA This is a great opportunity to work with one of the world’s leading suppliers of a wide range of products, solutions and services in the field of energy technology.

As a Shipper & Receiver III, you will:

• Perform a variety of domestic and international shipping/receiving tasks.
• Be responsible for the retention and verification of all shipping records, checked against bills of lading, invoices and orders.
• Verify that materials received are as ordered in both type and quantity.
• Route incoming items to various locations.
• Prepare appropriate documentation for domestic and international shipments.
• Prepare domestic and international documentation for shipment of materials, parts, finished goods and related items.
• Check items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination and routing are correct.
• Maintain files and records of shipping/receiving documents for domestic and international transactions.
• Unload incoming deliveries.
• Verify that materials received are as ordered in both type and quantity.
• Route incoming shipments to proper departments or destination.
• Coordinate work with other groups to ensure meeting commitments.
• Perform duties in a manner compliant with prevailing quality procedures and policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School degree or GED equivalency
• 2-5 years of related experience in shipping and receiving, or alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
• SAP Experience required
• Bonus if you have experience in materials management (stock room management/cycle counting, etc) bonus

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Additional Information:

• This is a 12 month contract
• 40 Hrs per week
