Headway Hospitality is currently seeking friendly, customer service oriented Catering Event Servers in Chapel Hill, NC. Headway Hospitality is Headway Workforce Solutions’ newest division. This new division specializes in serving up the best talent in the field of hospitality, food and beverage service. Headway Hospitality focuses on providing high-quality workers to clients through Headway’s proprietary recruitment, talent acquisition and workforce management practices.

As a Catering Server, you will assist with loading and unloading for events and perform a variety of tasks ranging from preparing food, stocking supplies, serving, cleaning tables and counters, resetting tables, greeting customers, and answering questions.

As a Catering Server, you will also...

• Take and process guests’ orders in a timely fashion
• Bus and clear tables
• Fill and refill stations and buffets
• Be familiar with catering menu and dietary restriction items and any changes prior to and during event
• Maintain a dining atmosphere

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Friendly, outgoing personality
• Highest level of customer service and hospitality skills
• Ability to function well in a fast paced, team environment
• Must be at least 18 years old or have a valid work permit
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and think on your feet in any situation
• Dedication to on-time arrival for shifts

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time

CHoPS will teach valuable skills to participants in a three-part certification series with classes in separate complementary and important topics. In partnership with Ernie Beasley, a professional chef and educator with over 30 years of experience with companies such as MGM Grand and Le Cordon Bleu, we will be offering a 3-part certification in Food Safety, Beverage Service, and Hospitality. This unique certification process will prepare workers in the basic skills necessary in the hospitality sector.
