Safety/Training Coordinator needed for busy North Asheville manufacturing facility

Basic Job Functions:

To provide effective business-driven training solutions that allow the company to prosper and exceed customer's expectations while providing learning opportunities that enhance employee and company success and continuous growth. In addition, provide a safe work environment by maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations and engaging employees in safe work methods.

Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

  • Coordination of training schedule with the hiring and training demands of production schedule
  • Work with trainers to ensure training completion
  • Work with Process Engineering to improve training effectiveness
  • Maintain training records and ensure proper documentation is followed
  • Ensure all OSHA training in conducted
  • Ensure that facility maintains compliance with OSHA regulations by conduction regular inspections and conducting monthly Safety Committee meetings.
  • Tack and report monthly safety data

Requirements:

  • Minimum: Associates Degree or equivalent in business discipline
  • Prior Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong planning, verbal, written, and organizational skills a must
  • Basic OSHA regulations/compliance knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
