Job Summary
Essential duties and responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, modifying, and upgrading rail cars as they enter and leave host railroad yard. Some welding and fabrication work involved when rebuilding car components, such as bolsters, side frames, and hitch heads. Repairs and routine maintenance are often performed using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Additionally, forklift operation and data entry serve as components of this position. Some of this work will be done outside or in an open type warehouse setting

Qualifications
  • Previous rail car repair and welding experience a plus, but not necessary
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check, drug test, and physical examination
  • Must hold a valid driver's license at all times

    *Salary: $16-$17.34/Start(more with Rail/ Railcar Experience)
