Aerotek Scientific is looking for a Microbiology Technician who wants to work in a chemical/consumer manufacturing setting. The facility is located in Kansas City, MO. There is 1 Full Time Immediate Opening.
Position Summary:
- Preparing microbiological media and reagents.
- Sample preparation and dilution
- Sample plating and incubation under aerobic and anaerobic conditions
- Recording microbial colonies: enumeration and morphology.
- Initial identification: gram stain, selective and differential media
- Identification of microbial colonies: advanced biochemical and DNA sequencing methodology
- Preservation of microbial colonies: short-term and long-term.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- BS or BA in Chemistry, Biology, or life sciences
- 2 years of industry experience performing basic microbiology techniques
- Experience working in CGMP/GLP
Starting Pay, Benefits, and Working Hours:
- $17 - $20/hr
- Full Benefits available (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, etc.)
1 Shifts available:
- Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM
