GENERAL PURPOSE:
Responsible for overall operations at an assigned plant including, but not limited to, supply management, production scheduling, manufacturing, shipping, warehouse, maintenance, people management, and implementation of change initiatives. Manage effective health & safety and all related compliance, quality assurance standards and training and development of assigned staff. Develops and manages budget for site operations
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Builds a safety culture and drives the implementation of safety policies and training in compliance with the company safety program and OSHA regulations to eliminate work-related injuries
Sets up a review process to analyze production, quality control, maintenance and operational data to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems
Confers with managers to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and obtain necessary data on customer orders and delivery
Plans, monitors and directs production and establish priorities, balancing effective customer service and cost factors and optimizing utilization of people and equipment within a just-in-time environment
Develops and implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality and safety
Oversees the revision of product schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure or operating problems and consult with Engineering on equipment modification and other continuous improvement efforts
Supervises schedules and evaluates the work performance of direct and indirect reports. Fosters positive working relationships, and responds proactively to performance concerns; discipline; employee complaints, concerns or problems; and other employee relations matters. Ensures consistency in the application of Company policies and procedures
Partners with Regional Operations Leaders to manage the profitability for the plant. Active Champion of all quality and lean initiatives
REQUIREMENTS:
5 - 10 Years' experience in manufacturing, supply chain, materials management, logistics and quality control
5+ Years' experience in Safety and Risk programs
Lean Manufacturing experience - green belt preferred
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
