About this job
Established and growing freight forwarder located near Fort Lee, NJ seeks an experienced Import/Export Manager (Air & Ocean).
Here are the following requirements:
~ 4-5 years of NVOCC experience required (must have experience with air AND ocean shipments - both import and export)
~ Have the ability to work 9am - 6pm (1 hour lunch break)
~ Prior experience with LCL, FCL, dispatch and some customs
Main functions include but are not limited to:
~ Assign workload to employees
~ Oversee all services and procedures and implement improvements as necessary
~ Develop relationships with new vendors and maintain relationships with existing vendors
~ Hire, train, manage, guide and motivate staff
~ Work closely with Accounting to properly credit and bill AP and AR
~ Establish and monitor cost control programs, including budget development, monthly P&L review, and cost analysis
This position is for local residents only (must reside in NJ).
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
Health and dental benefits paid FULLY by company; 90 day probationary period
401k plan available after 1 year of service
