Mountain Dining Advanced Level Cook - Full Time - Winter/Seasonal - Heavenly

Summary:

Mountain Dining Intermediate Level Cooks are back of house experienced positions available at Heavenly. They are responsible for providing excellent food service to all guests in our fast-paced restaurant locations. Duties include food preparation and cooking, stocking, working off prep lists, line/short order prep and plating, proper food handling practices, side work duties, as well as maintaining and cleaning service area. Intermediate Cooks are also responsible for training and overseeing Entry Level Cooks as well as assisting Kitchen Manager with daily kitchen operations and cleaning tasks.

Job Requirements:

  • Positive work ethic
  • Ability to work on a team and maintain a positive attitude
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to speak, read, and communicate in English
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours at a time.
  • Already has or has the ability to obtain a California Food Handlers Card within 30-days of employment
  • Ability to multi-task and work multiple stations, including grill, sauté, fryers, slicer, steam kettle, salamander and convection oven
  • Assist General Manager of the restaurant with menu development, specs and recipes
  • Assist General Manager in setting daily/weekly PAR levels
  • Assist General Manager in placing weekly food, product and supply orders
  • Ability to work alongside and develop the skills/knowledge of Intermediate and Entry Cooks
  • Must enjoy working directly with guests
  • Minimum of 4 years of various culinary experience
  • Has a high school diploma or GED
  • Intermediate level computer skills (Microsoft Office)

 

Work Schedule:

Must have a flexible work schedule which includes holidays and weekends. Full Time (40 hours a week) shifts are available as well as the opportunity for Overtime during Peak business periods.
