Maintenance Supervisor

Located in Spanish Fork Utah, Klune Industries develops and produces hard metal complex machined parts and assemblies for aerospace and commercial markets in the United States, and Internationally.

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the overall planning, organizing and coordination of Production activities, as well as employee development, and driving Continuous Improvement activities.

Reporting Relationships:

The Maintenance Supervisor will report to the Director of Operations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
• Reviews job orders to determine work priorities.
• Provide leadership and technical direction to allow team to improve according to key departmental metrics.
• Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
• Directs maintenance activities on facilities and equipment
• Develops preventive maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff
• Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
• Directs training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
• Manage personnel performance, including employee reviews, disciplinary action, time and attendance, shift scheduling and overtime assignments;
• Lead Employee training and development including cross training for the enhancement of employee knowledge, skills and abilities;
• Regularly communicate departmental updates to Managers.

Required Skills:

• 10+ years experience with CNC type machines and their maintenance.
• Proficient with Lean Manufacturing work area practices including 5-S, Visual Controls, Standard Work, work center metrics, and continuous improvement processes and able to instruct others in these practices
• Strong leadership skills at all levels, good work ethic. Ability to professionally communicate and direct the work of others
• Basic English language skills and ability to read, follow, and interpret work instructions
• Willingness to learn and develop and/or train others
• Microsoft Excel skills

Required Experience:

CNC maintenance experience
Leadership experience

Level of Education:

2 year college degree or equivalent education required
