Provide supervisory leadership, efficient management and creative problem-solving in plant operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Supervises manufacturing activities based on policies, objectives and programs spanning manufacturing functions; provide effective supervision and coaching to achieve the required quality and production goals.
- Ensure consistent quality standards and procedures up and down work chain.
- Operations supervision (production schedule, releases, deliveries, product quality assurances); manages the movement of product through the production area; ensures that product is in the process at all times; plans and organizes work for smooth operations.
- Manufacturing analysis to reach peak efficiency and daily targets; manufacturing improvement/scrap review.
- Implementing technological advancements; implementing total quality management measures re: ISO 9002 Certification and standards keeping.
- Identifying new opportunities to impact business and operations goals positively.
- Enforces safety policies and practices.
Ensures that standard operating procedures and engineering procedures are current, accurate and that all work is done in compliance to ensure maximum quality.
Schedule employees to effectively meet production needs and to ensure vacation and other time off consistent with plant policies. Assist in candidate selection as requested.
Provide the shift to shift communication link in order to keep all team members working toward the same goals. Communicate to employees all issues that affect the plant.
