Job Summary

Product Specialists first and foremost responsibility is to generate sales while providing exceptional customer service. Product Specialist are knowledgeable about all product and work as a team to help the store reach its sales goals. In addition, Product Specialist are responsible for assisting management in the areas of housekeeping and maintenance of the show room floor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Write a minimum of $40,000.00 per month in sales
  • Utilize sales training
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge
  • Meet monthly and weekly productivity goals
  • Maintains awareness of promotions
  • Assist in housekeeping
  • Operates all Ashley's systems effectively
  • Assist in processing paperwork
  • Complete assigned tasks properly and timely
  • Meet or exceed montage protection goals
  • Always assist customers
  • Work assigned hours and maintain flexible schedule
  • Attend and participate in store meetings
  • Adhere to Ashley's Policies and Procedures
  • Contacts customers by telephone and letters
  • Must audit sales for zero errors
  • Shops competitor and fills out a Competitive Shopping report a minimum of once a month

What We Need From You

  • At least two years' experience in sales with a favorable record of accomplishment in retail, commissioned sales, marketing, or related areas is desired, but not mandatory.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to create, design, and coordinate attractive room settings is desirable.
