Supervisor Maintenance - Full-time / Part-time

Supervises department employees by assigning and monitoring work performance in pipefitting, boilermaker work, insulating, rigging, equipment operation, and scaffolding. Is responsible to ensure completion of work in a safe, efficient and timely manner. Identifies training needs and monitors individual employee development. Assists with the planning of refinery turnarounds and shutdowns, including utilization of manpower and task assignments. Maintains confidentiality at all times.

• Checks and verifies that work is performed in a safe manner. Stresses safe work procedures and policies.
• Checks and verifies that daily work is completed, including prioritizing and assigning of work to specific craft workers.
• Assists with planning refinery turnaround and shutdowns. Includes manpower utilization, craft, and task assignment.
• Identifies training needs and recommends training resources. Develops employees. Monitors employee development and skill level. Conducts performance appraisals. Counsels and maintains discipline.
• Documents monthly discussions held with employees. Encourages teamwork, suggestions, and utilizes quality circle performance process.

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree and 1-2 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
