The DISH Technologies National Accounts Sales team drives the sales of SlingStudio, AirTV, and SlingBox through well-established retail channels. 

 

 

A sucessful National Account Manager will have:

  • 10+ years of consumer sales experience and account development 
  • 5+ years working with Amazon, Photo Specialty/Pro Video Channel Hardware and Clubs 
  • Have represented products with a MAP policy
  • BA/BS in business related field 
  • Well versed in Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed
  • Able to overachieve in a constantly changing environment
  • Resides close to a commercial airport in the Midwest Region

The National Accounts Manager (NAM) is a leadership position within consumer sales. This senior level person is equally adept in the trenches as in the boardroom. The NAM is an effective listener and communicator with a strong business acumen and desire to be successful. A team player, the NAM strives to make decisions that positively affect Dish Technology. The NAM is engaged in all facets of the consumer business and is expected to consistently contribute to team meetings as well as providing feedback and information to other internal Dish Technology groups and epartments. This person is a well respected “A” player in the industry that exudes confidence and backs it up both strategically and tactically.

 

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Exceed sales goals established by management 
  • Develop new business, as well as maintaining and driving sales within assigned accounts to achieve efficient and profitable sales of the company’s products to targeted levels
  • Create plans, analyze data, and suggest changes that drive sales, usability and operational efficiencies for accounts 
  • Engage with accounts to improve positioning (improving sell-through, end user awareness, etc.) 
    • Helps create and drives overall account strategy that is beneficial for both Sling Media and customer 
    • Interacts with other departments to drive business within accounts and resolve any issues that may arise 
  • Effectively communicate with management team on state of the business. 
  • Share best practices with peers 
  • Constantly thinking ahead and acting proactively in terms of marketing and sales planning 
  • Build and/or establish strong relationships with new accounts and within major existing accounts including executives, buyers, planners, etc
  • Develop and execute business plans with direction of Sales Director 
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement marketing activities with customers in conjunction with the overall channel strategy
