Well-established freight forwarder located in Springfield Gardens, NY is currently seeking an experienced Ocean Import OR Export Coordinator.
Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
PARKING LOT AVAILABLE
Primary duties include but not limited to:
- Facilitate the daily operations of the FCL and LCL shipments imported in the US via ocean carriers
- Receiving shipping instructions and follow customer specific guidelines in the preparation and transmission of export transactions
- Prepare files, distribute documents, track cargo, handle billing and collection of funds
- Track and trace shipments
- Build relationships with all customer, other offices, overseas agents and service providers
The successful candidate must have:
- 2+ years of experience working in the freight forwarding industry handling ocean import OR ocean export
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Literacy with MS Office Suite
Salary commensurate with experience + benefits
This is a temp to hire position – ideal for unemployed candidates
