Position Summary:
The Hershey Company has an immediate need for a Lead Analyst, Shopper & Shelf. The Lead Analyst, Shopper & Shelf will partner with Hershey’s Sales & Category Insights teams to drive the shelf planning initiative and lead the solution roadmap for capabilities and tools for category management. This role will work closely with architects and data teams to design business models with data to build efficient analytics with rolled up aggregations.
This position will partner with the Product & Solutions Managers, as well as the Category Insights & Sales Business Managers, to identify goals, objectives, criteria, action items/deliverables, and assist with drafting functional and technical requirements that clearly articulate architecture and business objectives of the required solutions. The Lead Analyst, Shopper & Shelf, will have a partnering consultant support with the implementations teams during pre- and post- implementation monitoring of functional issues, business processes, and during the initial rollout of solutions.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Must possess the following:
- 2-3 years of experience implementing shelf planning tools like JDA CKB and Apollo.
- CPG OR Retail Industry experience.
- 2-3 years of experience leveraging analytics tools like Tableau, Power BI
- OR
- Writing complex SQL queries, and using tools like Spark and R-Studio.
- 2-5 years leading initiatives, analyzing systems design, assessing risk, and calculating business value to influence 3rd party software product selection.
- Passion for analytical problem solving.
Analytical Acumen required:
- The ability to frame up and simplify complex problems as well as locate and understand root causes. Must understand and articulate the implications Business Intelligence driven by intelligent systems.
Business Acumen required:
- Must possess the understanding of commercial, operational, financial and the people aspects of business. Must have the understanding business processes to recommend and implement process improvements.
- Must possess a strong understanding of business KPI’s.
- Must have: problem-solving skills, analytical skills, time management skills, and the understanding & impact of demanding dynamic environments to meet overall timeline objectives.
- Must possess a high level of personal/professional integrity, ability to handle confidential matters, and an outstanding level of judgment and maturity.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, SharePoint, and other analytical & flowcharting tools
- Strong working knowledge of software development lifecycle and application lifecycle management.
