The Category Development Analyst is primarily responsible for analyzing consumer, category, customer and market data in order to build sound business recommendations and develop high quality supporting presentations. Focused on identifying mutually beneficial opportunities that support both our client brand growth and retailer category growth, this position will work closely with our client Retail sales teams and Marketing.

 
Key Accountabilities:

  • Fact Based Sales Support - Integrates information from many sources and develops actionable insights and recommendations in support of category and team initiatives. This work includes, but is not limited to, new product introductions, pricing analyses, seasonal reviews and programs, promotional planning and evaluation.
  • Sales Reporting and Interpretation – manages current reporting structure and develops new analyses tools to assist the team with fact based recommendations based on category and consumer trends.
  • Continuous Improvement - Continuously improve our capabilities and processes to drive superior results.

Qualifications/ Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree required preferably in Marketing or Business Administration.
  • Require 2-3 years of relevant Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience.
  • Advanced analytical skills, use of PC-based applications (Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) with emphasis on Advanced Excel Pivot Tables & Graphs.
  • Demonstrated ability in analyzing data, formulating recommendations, developing presentations and presenting action plans to customers to achieve desired business results
  • Demonstrated strengths in analysis and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with enthusiasm and impact both verbally and written.
  • Ability to synthesize data from multiple resources to build actionable recommendations.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
