Aerotek is partnering with several companies in the Healthcare industry that have immediate openings for experienced Patien Services Representatives in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area.

Medical Customer Service Representatives will have to opportunity to assist patients by providing inbound and outbound telephone support in a fast paced work environment. Seeking individuals who have an innovative spirit, a diverse work experience, ability to multi-task. These roles are an important first-line of contact with customers, setting the tone for how the company and services are experienced. Superb communication skills are needed to effectively interact with insurance companies, patients and internal partners to ensure the processing of specialty medications in a timely manner and to ensure all financial and clinical expectations are being met prior to fulfillment.

Job Descriptions:

  • Read, understand, and follow all Company policies and procedures.
  • Acknowledge review and acceptance of responsibility for the policies and procedures annually in writing.
  • Protect all confidential information seen, received, or that is communicated while performing job duties or otherwise.
  • Eligibility Screening
  • Makes outbound and receives inbound calls with the intent of promoting or selling company services
  • Interviews patients/members via phone to gather personal/sensitive information in order to determine eligibility for various government programs
  • Uses system to ensure appropriate questions are asked
  • Interpret and explains information such as eligibility requirements and application details
  • Uses probing questions to clarify eligibility data with patient or member
  • Compile, record, and evaluate personal and financial data in order to verify completeness and accuracy
  • Utilizes the computer system to accurately complete the screening for eligibility and disposition the account as required
  • Uses appropriate resources to support decision making
  • Completes brief case summary
  • Completes online application
  • Initiate procedures to refer patient/member to other agencies for assistance as appropriate
  • Monitors actions to ensure goals are met

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of customer service in a health care setting
  • 2-3 years of call center experience
  • Medical terminology and medical insurance knowledge
