Summary of Job:

 

The Sr. Specialist of Brand Strategy and Development will manage the execution of the ongoing brand architecture of over 50+ brands within our retail and rental portfolio, and connect our network of over 200 retail locations to the larger guest journey within the Vail Resorts organization.    

This position will be focused on aligning brands across the portfolio, establishing brand standards, aligning with larger marketing objectives to bring campaigns and content to life, and managing the creative process to ensure timely go-to-market execution.

 

Eseential Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Project manage and execute the brand architecture work for the VRR portfolio of brands.
  • Partner with cross-functional business partners, key stakeholders, channel owners, agency partners, sponsors, operational contributors and financial counterparts on key marketing objectives, strategic organizational initiatives and overall timelines. 
  • Drive alignment of brands across the VRR portfolio, ensuring consistency in go-to-market plan and at all consumer touchpoints.
  • Thoughtfully plan and execute relevant brand events, included but no limited to Grand Openings.
  • Support the creative team in solving for marketing objectives in unique ways, challenging them to think differently about how best to bring creative to life through VRR’s marketing collateral.
  • Communicate ongoing brand strategy in an impactful and meaningful way to create cross-functional synergy for the brand.
  • Support a culture of engagement and collaboration, ensuring cross-functional buy in on any brand architecture work. 
  • Work closely with CRM manager and research team on consumer insights to help understand brand awareness and engagement
  • Monitor competitive activity to report and move on key insights, best practices, and competitive differentiators.

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing or related field, MBA or advanced degree a plus
  • A minimum of 3 years of marketing execution, including branding - required
  • Agency experience, retail experience, leadership experience and budget management experience - required
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Experience with online web software and tools
  • Creative mindset
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • MS Office, Photoshop and HTML experience - preferred
  • High level of organizational detail and the ability to multi-task
