If this describes you, we have immediate openings for 6 to 10 seasonal Event Install Technicians at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. We have a fast paced work environment where fun is the key. The positions will be for 4 to 6 months and give you opportunities to expand your resume and experience.

Primary purpose and function of the Event Install Technician position:
  • Executes Entertainment Event Installation and Deconstruction.
  • Collaborates with Entertainment Production/Operations, Theming, and Theatrical Services teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Works with outside contractors.
  • Maintains Entertainment facilities and equipment.
  • Follows project timelines to ensure park and departmental goals, safety targets and objectives are obtained.
  • Follows department and park safety guidelines.
  • Participates in Theatrical Services department training programs.
  • Participates in other duties as assigned that support park and departmental goals and objectives.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Event Installation and Deconstruction: Execute work based on park and department goals and objectives and other duties as assigned.

Education and Special Skills:
  • 2 years experience preferred in the areas of rigging, carpentry, electrics, and sound.
  • Experience with hand tools required:
  • Must have familiarity with OSHA, NEC, NFPA and IBC.
  • Experience operating equipment including Forklifts, Scissor and Boom Lifts preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move 50 lbs required.
  • Ability to perform outdoor work in temperature extremes and overnight shifts as required.
  • Associates or BA in Technical Theatre, Theatre Arts, or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
