Position Summary:

Order, sort and stock merchandise; perform production and customer service functions; maximize store sales and profits. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.

Essential Job Functions:

• Stock beverage items in a safe, neat, efficient, orderly manner.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms, coolers clean and well organized.
• Order products for assigned sections to insure proper inventory levels.
• Keep carts, jacks, and supplies in their designated areas.
• Unload trucks and prepare merchandise for stocking.
• Handle damaged products in accordance with store policies and procedures.
• Maintain appropriate signage and shelf tags.
• Face or block shelving as it is stocked.
• Make clean, neat, and friendly impression on customers.
• Greet customers and assist them in finding products.
• Assist in carrying out groceries or checking.
• Respond appropriately to customer or associate comments, complaints, requests, and questions. Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous and professional in all interactions.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Communicate and interact with associates and customers to provide a positive impression.
• Maintain equipment and facilities properly and safely in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain floor, shelf and display areas clean and up to sanitary standards.
• Maintain department temperature logs accurately.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Able to communicate with customers and associates.
• Deal with stressful situations calmly, courteously, and tactfully.
• Able to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
• Qualified and able to operate power machinery and work with various job tools.
• Available and able to perform stock clerk duties and customer service duties.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Experience in grocery and/or adult beverage retail.
• Experience in operating a cash register and making change.
• Knowledge of the various brands and the common usage of liquors and merchandise sold in liquor stores.
• Past work record reflects dependability and integrity.
